大家一起谈谈对London本地老外的看法吧，自己的经历，朋友的经历等等，或者只写一两句也行。我将给回复本贴的+声望！:)

说说我的驾校教练吧，驾校名字我就不说了，因为一说肯定有人知道说的是谁。

S, 本地白人，一个和善的老太太。理论课和驾车都是她带，一天总是笑呵呵的。熟了以后，不止一次和我抱怨，驾校的老板除了收钱，啥也不管，我就劝她跳到别的驾校吧，要么自己开个驾校，她又嫌太麻烦，太操心。

有一次气冲冲地给我打电话问我本周的appointment取消了，行不行？原因是老板三周没给她发工资了，我忙说没问题，不给钱就不干了。

放下电话我想想，就给驾校打了个电话，老板接的，我告诉他我想退钱，因为你们不给教练发工资，影响我练车。老板连说没有的事。放下电话我又告诉老太太给驾校打电话的事。老太太的反应大出我的意料：你不应该给他们打电话抱怨啊，我说我没有抱怨你，她说我知道我知道，但这样我会丢掉这个工作的~~~，听得我目瞪口呆。

第二天，老太又给我打电话，乐呵呵地告诉我，她拿到工资了，我们可以定下个appointment了。又告诉我昨天她的几个学员都给老板打了电话抱怨，老板到晚上就把支票给她了。撂下电话前老太太又补了一句：谢谢你昨天为我打那个电话~~~ 我再次目瞪口呆。

我想，这些老外有直来直去，把喜怒哀乐挂在脸上的一面，也有很多你意想不到的东西，和你看到感觉到的截然不同。

一个朋友告诉我，他和一些老外接触的时候，说自己是学生，老外一般会很热情，因为你给当地带来的经济利益。如果说是移民，他们态度会完全不一样。因为你和他们抢工作机会。当然，政府支持的那些帮你找工作的机构人员会不一样。因为你给他们带去了工作机会。

I do not agree but I\'ll tell you why...most likely because the 1st thing that many immigrants from China do after they landed is to apply for child benefit and EI and I think this is quite true since I saw many advertisment in Sing Tao and Ming Po about how to apply for EI with 100% success rate etc and they don\'t respect others like littering etc.

So it is not about jobs, it is about the quality of immigrants.

Do you [COLOR=\"Red\"]REALLY[/COLOR] know what is EI and what is the Child Benefit? Do you know how and to whom that EI and Child Benefit are issued?

Employment Insurance (EI) is an insurance, like car insurance, property insurance..... Only when you paid for it (and meet some requirements) you can apply it(after you lose your job).

Can you give me an example who got EI without paying for it?

For the Children Benefit, all the citizen and immigrants under 18 years old are qualified. It has nothing to do with \"the quality of immigrants\". If you are a landed immigrant and you have a kid qualified the Children Benefit, you didn\'t apply for it, nobody would say you are \"HIGH QULITY\".

Instead, you might be reminded: Please finish all the procedures of your kid\'s HEALTHCARE APPLICATION.

......I saw many advertisment in Sing Tao and Ming Po about how to apply for EI with 100% success rate etc .

These advertisements are nothing but telling those who are not satisfied with their current jobs: Quit your job and join our training program for a better job, we apply EI for you.

The only fact behind this kind of advertisements is: EVEN IF you paid for EI, you may not get it for sure.

我觉得London比Toronto要好很多。Toronto有很多华人的business存在。相对而言导致工资水平的下降。同意Clondon对于EI和CB的观点。但不可否认，确实有人在专政策的空子。但并不都是Chinese。APVM的观点未必太绝对了。其实针对不同的人，他对于移民的看法很不一样。一些专门针对移民所设的服务部门很欢迎新移民的。毕竟正是因为移民的存在才有了他们的工作：）
我们所该做的是做好你自己的工作，用你自己的表现去给更多的人正面的感受。不要仅仅在这边抱怨。

sorry to say that but honestly, from the 1st day i came here, the most or most of the help i got was from Canadians, not or never from Chinese. Maybe the reason is here all Chinese have a hard life, so they don\'t have enough time or energy to help others, even other chinese.

I think you got the point, maybe not All, but at least most of them.

As you know, it\'s not easy to get a new start in this new country, not as easy as you move from GuanghZhou to HongKong. There r many diffrence, diff people, diff language. It\'s a totally new start for all of them, they can\'t depend on others but themselves. Don\'t you think it\'s hard?

Some students can depends on their parents, especially some guys from HongKong, TaiWang and rich famally from Mainland of China. but the new Immigration CAN\'T.

Anyway, \"We help each other, we help ourselves\" should in our mind.

和本地一个老外聊结婚戒指的话题，老外说他不会买镶有产自非洲的钻石戒指，那些戒指上面染有鲜血，很多人因为那些钻石而死亡。因为被压迫劳动，因为用来换武器。

这个老外是一个聪明善良的人。我也认识不少不友好的本地人，呵呵。

其实我感觉大部分伦敦人都还是很热情的。如果你对他热情他一般不会对你冷淡。
虽然肤色不一样。但是并没有种族对峙的感觉。
我刚来的时候不知道在哪做公交车，有一位老大爷看我在看地图，还主动过来问我要去哪，
然后指给我公交车站的位置。其实大部分人都很善良。
虽然很多人认为外国人非常开放，虽然开放但是他们还是很有素质的
从犯罪率上就可以看出来。虽然国内外文化有很多差别。我们还是有很多需要向外国人学习的地方。
当然这并不代表我们要摒弃自己的东西。取长补短。让自己更完善而已。
只是发表自己的看法。:)
